Elizabeth House - Red Tent Event

There is a place in Calgary called the Elizabeth House

"Elizabeth House is a warm place of refuge and holistic restoration for pregnant women and their children. It is a place of reconciliation where people from all traditions and viewpoints can come together to act justly, affirming that the lives of both women and their children are highly valued. Elizabeth House is a place where the active love of Christ is tangible, offering women and their children a chance at a new life. "

A couple of weeks ago Christopher and I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a fundraising event for them known as the Red Tent Event.  Vendors came together volunteering their time to help raise money for this wonderful organization.
They day turned out beautiful, they had some fantastic products for sale, delicious appetizers, incredibly talented singers, poets, speaker, and belly dancers throughout the day. They even had people volunteering their time providing relaxing manicures!
In order to prepare for the event I went to the Elizabeth House and took some photos of the residents to be displayed and auctioned off during their silent auction.
Here are some of those photos and some photos from the day itself. So feel free to browse through and please click on the links and learn more about the Elizabeth House and how you can help.
